This notice explains what personal information BlackRyde collects when you use this website or travel with us, why we hold it, who we share it with and how long we keep it. We have written it in plain language on purpose.
Only the parties who need it to deliver your journey:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We do not add you to a marketing list because you booked a car. If we ever do send occasional service updates, they will carry a one-click unsubscribe and stopping them will never affect your bookings.
Booking and enquiry records are kept for as long as we need them to service the relationship and to satisfy tax, accounting and insurance requirements. Web server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. When a record is no longer needed it is deleted.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, which airports and cities are clicked, and whether people reach the booking form. It sets its own cookies and receives your IP address. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not sell or share the data for advertising. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking the script in your browser; the site works normally either way.
Our reservation widget is provided by our dispatch software and loads from yourwebbooker.com; anything you enter into it is handled under that provider’s terms as well as ours. Web fonts load from Google Fonts. Both may set their own cookies or receive your IP address as part of serving a request.
This site sets a session cookie when you use the enquiry form, purely to guard against automated spam. The booking widget and font provider may set their own. You can block cookies in your browser; the enquiry form may then refuse submissions.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, or object to a particular use. Write to support@blackryde.com and we will respond within the period the law allows.
If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in the UK or EU, you may complain to your national supervisory authority.
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to booking records is limited to the staff who need it. No system is perfect, so if we ever discover a breach affecting your information we will tell you and the relevant authority promptly.
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Children travel with us as passengers on a booking made by an adult.

If this notice changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects you, tell you directly.
